Photo journalism preview

1. Find three photos that you find especially powerful.
Black, traveled to Mexico and visits indigenous communities. 
Eugenia, captures a man living in extreme weather conditions. She experienced the low temperatures and the rough winds of the arctic. 

Aundrea Bruce, made a 17 hour road trip that was 600 miles across the island .


2. Explain what kind of planning and research the photographer had to ask to get the photos they took?

To make casual conversations, and apply your knowledge to capture the emotional event.

4. Under the section on "Composition," what does the writer suggest doing to help you "pick a face out of the crowd?" Using that face on face you picked out of the crowd as a focal point.

5. What is a photo essay?
A compilation of some sort of photographs in a certain order to show emotion or show progression in events.

6. Summarize the 5 tips the writer provides.
Once you find your topic to do research on it. Find the actual story, and show the real emotions that occurred. Then lastly, plan your shots.

What event will you photograph?
Ms. Royer's Red Carpet Event

What: An appreciation event 
When: In May
Where: Akins Library 
Why (why will the event happen?): This event is for all the students who have participated in making films and families who also helped make the films happen. This event is an appreciation type thing.
How (how will the event happen?): Ms.Royer is going to put it together
